Responsible for coordinating cost savings projects resulting in improved and sustained business performance.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement, cost savings initiatives.
  • Realize annual cost savings to the organization of $150k+.
  • Develop and train employees in the proper use and application of lean manufacturing methodology
  • Drive focus on internal/in-process quality, cost, and production metrics that lead to focused problem solving efforts
  • Assist Support Teams with the implementation of lean practices
  • Develop procedures and work instructions relating to the Quality System.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
  • Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
SKILLS:

Experience Required: 5+ years manufacturing experience required. Heavy equipment, component manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and/or powder coating experience in a low volume, high mix environment preferred.

Education Required: BS or BA preferred; Emphasis on Process Engineering/LEAN Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Team Player with strong communication, organization, and writing skills
Efficient use of problem solving tools
Strong mechanical aptitude
