Orthotic Manufacturing Technician
In an endeavor to meet new business requirements and the restructuring for growth, applications are invited for the position of Orthotic Technician at the Wellingborough U.K. site of Halo Medical.
Applicants are required to have:
- An in-depth knowledge of the lower limb skeletal human anatomy.
-Acomprehensive understanding of clinical orthotic terms.
- An in-depth knowledge and working experience in the modeling / rectification of positive and negative casts.
- Fabricating of fixed and jointed limb orthotics.
- Manufacturing orthotic headgear.
Any experience in the manufacturing processes below would be a distinct advantage:
- Prosthesis.
- Leather orthosis manufacturing.
- Orthotic headgear.
- Orthotic metalwork
This is an initial twelve month fixed contract position, after which a review will be made with the potential to extend into a permanent role. A 39 hour working week, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work extended hours if and when required.
All applicants must be able to speak and read English to an acceptable and understandable level as they may be required to converse with clinical trained orthotic staff.
