Responsibilities:
• Responsible for SAP system administration, design, configuration and quality assurance; ensure standard, reusable, sustainable solution delivery.
• Responsible for day-to-day system management related activities, performance tuning and ensuring system up time to 100%
• Provide SAP Basis (NetWeaver) administration expertise for SAP applications & Solution Manager running on, Solaris, HP, Linux & Oracle RAC.
• Provide problem analysis and issue resolution in the SAP Basis & PI area. Ensure integrity of the SAP systems through proper authorization and configuration of Basis (NetWeaver) components.
• Participating into monthly ops review to present system statistics, potential threats or any recommendation to enhance system performance, monitoring etc.
• Leverage OSS notes and EWR on regular basis to ensure system up time.
• Participate in project / release activities to rollout system patches, application upgrades and security patches to keep the system updated. Manage Correction and Transports for ongoing changes in the system.
• Perform yearly patching activities & documentations to ensure quality procedures are followed properly for system validations.
• Participate in planning & implementing Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, SAP Upgrades. Implement DR solutions and testing.
• Responsible for interacting with vendor Basis resources to ensure SLA delivery model is being followed.
• Manage SAP users, authorizations, and profiles.
• Administer the SAP database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution, etc.). Execute table space reorganization.
• Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
• Act as in-house expert to design & build solutions. Test solutions using some automatic testing tools such as HPQC.
• Responsible for ensuring good system backup, system refreshes and maintaining Solution Manager.
• Responsible for project planning and delivering within the Basis area.
• Responsible for maintaining service levels and leading monthly Ops review to represent Basis function.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
• Experience in creating and execution of test scripts using HP/QC tool
• 5 years’ experience in Basis administration and support activities
• At least two years’ experience in an IT supervisory role which included management of personnel
• Experience in 3 or more end-to-end SAP implementation. Experience in working on Validated platforms.
• Working experience on SAP 3.0B/4.6C/SAP Business Suite 7.0 and above, including ECC, PI, BI, Portal, TDMS, GRC, APO, and Solution Manager
• Experience planning & implementing SAP upgrades. Must have done at least one SAP Upgrade.
• Experience of ABAP stack (monitoring, troubleshooting, TMS management, RFCs, instance profile parameters, SICF, SSL settings, SFTP, FTP, printer definition and spool management, SAP GUI support, IDocs, etc.).
• Experience of Adobe Document Service and Data Archiving tools
• Net weaver Composition Environment/SOA Manager installation and configuration
• NW Portal installation/SSO configuration/certificate management/System Connections. Strong in setting up system connections using RFC, Middleware Technologies such as Informatica, WebMethod and SOA.
• Experience in maintaining complex disaster recovery environment. Experience tools like Oracle Data Guard and Veritas Cluster etc.
• Experience in building Authorization and user security. Working on the IDM interfaces and standard SAP API. Experience with the tools such as GRC is desirable.
• Experience in creating and execution of test scripts using HP/QC tool
• Good command of English language.
