Clinical Coding Speciality Lead - North West - 6 monthsA Clinical Coding Speciality Lead required to join a major NHS Trust in the North West region on an initial 6 month contract paying roughly £300 per day.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Clinical Coder to take the next step in their career and lead an active team of coders in a very project driven trust.

Essential Skills:
NHS experience
ACC Qualified
Connecting for health approved Clinical Coding Auditor
Desirable Skills:
Be familiar with OPCS 4 version 4.7
Have done a clinical coding refresher course in the past 3 years
Good history with NHS trusts
Team player
Logical thinking
The Role:
Responsible for ensuring that national coding rules and conventions are followed and standards adhered to
Line manage a section of the Coding department to ensure accurate, timely and consistent clinical coding within set standards and targets
Responsible for data validation with the clinicians
Liaise with clinicians and their support staff concerning interpretation of casenote documentation affecting coding
