Role: Network Architect/LeadRate: €350-€400
Location: Dublin
Type: 3-6 month
A large telecoms company based in Dublin requires a strong network design engineer to work within a multi-vendor environment. You will have the opportunity to be fully involved in all aspects of the organisation's network, ranging from design, installation, troubleshooting and fine-tuning.
Day-to-day
- Maintain the network to the highest standards identifying any potential points of failure and recommending solutions.
- Occasional Pre-Sales Technical Support to ensure the design and implementation of solutions to a high standard
- Act as technical point of escalation
- Investigate and propose improvements to infrastructure
- Proactive monitoring and manage vast data-sets running through company systems.
- Work closely with development and QA teams to scale capacity to meet growth requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- General Internet infrastructure understanding.
- General Internet security and cyberthreat protection understanding.
- CCNA Voice or similar experience.
- CCNP security or similar experience.
- Linux certification Red Hat RHCE or equivalent experience.
- Windows server 2003 and 2008 infrastructure deep understanding.
- Professional backup systems understanding.
- High Availability systems understanding.
- Virtualization infrastructure understanding.
- SAN and iSCSI infrastructure understanding.
- MS Net services and technologies (networking stack) deep understanding.
- MSIT specialist cer&fica&on would be an advantage.

- Security standards knowledge regarding networks, disaster recovery and contingency planning for ISO27001 or PCI-DSS
- Experience working as network 3rd line support/engineering using Cisco systems for a minimum of 3 years.
