Description
For a client in the finance sector in Zurich we are looking for a Senior Windows Application Engineer.Duties:
- Implementing, supporting and automating of business applications on the Windows platform
- Working with IIS, Tomcat, SQL, AD, 3rd party software in a secured environment
- Integration and migration of existing applications backends to existing firewall zone environment, Certificate Authorities, PKI infrastructure, centralised SQL Servers
- Produce design concepts and design specifications for new applications
Required skills:
· 4-6 year of experience in Windows Engineering
· Higher university degree or similar
· 4-6 year of experience in Windows Engineering
· Engineer with experience in financial environment
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Environments (SQL, AD/LDAP, IIS) on MSCE level (or equivalent), Windows Server OS and Client OS
· Familiarity with web architectures including: web application servers, encryption, n-tier development/deployment strategies, databases, security mechanisms, trusted directories, etc.
· Integration and implementation skills in context of firewall zone environment, Certificate Authorities, PKI infrastructure
· VBS, Powershell, Automation of operational procedures, application and technical monitoring and alerting.
· Knowhow of high availability solutions, disaster recovery technologies and integration methodologies
· Experience with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and/or Windows Server 2012 is considered a plus
· Fluent in German and English
