Procurement Advisors, Harvey Nash's Leeds based client within the Public Sector client are currently seeking to recruit a number of Procurement Analysts on an initial 3 month contract basis.
This is a "hands-on" operational procurement officer role responsible for the development and delivery of Procurement, creating value, minimising risk, and will also involve shaping processes and procedures of the procurement team.
The roles will involve end to end procurement and as such effective stakeholder engagement is critical, as are the following skills/experience:
* Experience/knowledge of the commercial life cycle and proficient in the relevant national/international legislation eg EU procurement Directive, Public Sector Sustainability Agenda
* Supplier relationship management skills (both suppliers and customers)
* Excellent communications skills and an ability to engage with various Stakeholders in a meaningful way.
* Demonstrable procurement and commercial experience and ideally Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent Demonstrable prior experience.
These roles are based in Central Leeds and are offered initially on a 3 month contract basis though likely to extend beyond this. There are some significant procurement changes afoot within this Public Sector organisation and each role available offers an opportunity to influence this.
