Description
Performs a variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments which can include cleaning, filling, processing, assembly, packaging and testing- General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature in which ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
- Defines data for collection and reporting
- Provides documentation of events and status including analysis and recommendations for improvement
- Maintains records and complies with regulatory requirements, safety regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
- Sets up and performs major PMs on complex pieces of equipment
- Recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield
- Performs moderately complex troubleshooting and calibration of instruments
- Diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with minimal direction or documentation; analyze to correct problems. Analyzes data and interprets results
- May assist with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications
- May weigh, measure and check materials to assure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities
Math and basic algebra skills are required for procedural calculations. Technical Associates degree and 2 years of experience are also required
