Performs a variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments which can include cleaning, filling, processing, assembly, packaging and testing
  • General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature in which ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
  • Defines data for collection and reporting
  • Provides documentation of events and status including analysis and recommendations for improvement
  • Maintains records and complies with regulatory requirements, safety regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Sets up and performs major PMs on complex pieces of equipment
  • Recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield
  • Performs moderately complex troubleshooting and calibration of instruments
  • Diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with minimal direction or documentation; analyze to correct problems. Analyzes data and interprets results
  • May assist with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications
  • May weigh, measure and check materials to assure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities
SKILLS:

Math and basic algebra skills are required for procedural calculations. Technical Associates degree and 2 years of experience are also required
