Description
We have a unique and exciting position available for an experienced Economic Forecasting Officer to join our government client for a 12 month contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing the impact of proposed policy changes, including preparation of material and costing/pricing information for policy options
- Provide advice in relation to forecast demand, to underpin funding arrangements to assist in operational planning.
- Prepare associated reports, including the impact of new policy proposals on forecasts.
- Other economic analysis, as required.
Skills and experience required:
- Relevant economic qualifications
- Strong economic forecasting skills
- Experience in policy formulation
- Detailed understanding of the commonwealth budgetary process
- Good interpersonal skills, as well as high level ability to manage workloads, problem solve, work independently or in a team environment, as required.
