Description
Expeditor/Logistics Co-ordinator/Logistics Admin required for a leading defence company based at Boscombe Down. The contractor will be required to process stock movement, receive, store and issue goods to meet customer and company requirements.
Major Tasks
- Populate and update demand sheets for logistics input
- Research and chase problem demands
- Keep spares progress tracking requisition up to date
- Act as point of contact for all spares/logs affairs
Minor Tasks
- Storage - to ensure all goods, materials, parts and assemblies are stored in a controlled, compliant to specifications manner, identification, traceability, location record, shelf life rotation, accuracy of stock held volume and value.
- Issues - to supply goods, materials, components and assemblies to internal and external customers on time, at the right location, complaint with specifications at the lowest cost possible.
- Play an active part in the pursuance of continuous improvement relating to the methods and processes employed
- Participate in duty call-out rosta/work out of normal hours including night shift patterns if required.
Ideally would have:
- Previous experience within a logistic organisation (preferably in a technical role).
- Experience of electronic asset management systems.
- Previous experience in utilising SAP tool set.
- Ability to prioritise work and push suppliers for deliveries.
- Good understanding of health and safety at work requirements
- Driving licence, experience of driving large vans (preferable).
- Familiar with military part numbers (preferable) and miltary Air Publications (Vol 3, data sets)
- Numerate.
- Good, basic IT skills - Microsoft Office
- Forklift Operators licence (desirable).
