My client, a large insurance company are looking for a Claims Payment Administrator. You will assist the Senior claims payment administrator dealing with the company's daily claim payments routine.

Tasks
Liaising with the help team and the Claims Service Providers
Authorising payments on a Claims system
Extracting payment files from a Claims system
Importing payment files and launching BACS payments
Importing payment details into Access database
Checking and cashing of recovery cheques
Cancelling payments when requested
Responding to queries when necessary
Dealing with the daily post
To undertake relevant training and maintain competencies in relation to Payment Card Industry
Security Standard Policies and comply with the specified requirements
To comply with the principles of Treating Customers Fairly and to ensure that the fair treatment of customers is a key factor in your work.

Skills

We require:

Understanding of computers and a basic knowledge of excel. Working knowledge of Access & Microsoft Outlook would be helpful.
A high level of accuracy in the processing of repetitive tasks
Have a strong attention to detail and be able to operate accurately, even when under pressure
A methodical way of working and be able to prioritise tasks to ensure the most important tasks are done on time
Possess the ability to investigate and solve problems
Work well under their own initiative
