SOA Architect - Banking experience - TOGAF
Our customer is a leader in the Banking & Financial industry and is currently seeking for a SOA Architect.
Main objectives:
Prepare SOW for SOA implementation guidelines for enterprise. Deliver SOA strategy and guidelines which are fit for purpose and aligned with relevant strategic architecture direction and principles.
Your role:
- Through expert architectural skills translate high level business requirements into technology architectures that align to Divisional strategic architecture.
- Deliver guidelines (SOA and ESB)
- Finalize the architecture guidelines (patterns & anti-patterns, naming conventions, atomic and aggregated services, metadata to transport in all situations (security context and caller context)
- Define how the services will be model-driven and not DB-driven: details needed in the information conceptual model, link between DB and services, isolation between DB changes and exposed services, coherence of concepts (eg no mix of dates, weeks and periods)
- Rules for throttling
- Automated non-regression testing - approach
- Guidelines for designers and developers (rules for XML conversion (Mainframe or not), toolbox to use)
- Guidelines for performance, traceability and monitoring at run time
- Governance - Definition and management of the Service Catalogue
- Governance principles (eg one service belongs to a domain; analysis are done by the analyst of that domain; projects notify service owners of the services the project will re-use ; versioning; building permits; roles and responsibilities
- Communication kit and training material
Key skills:
Must Have:
- Domain experience: Banking experience in one or more of the following:
- Credits
- Retail Banking
- Core Banking
- Credits
- Commercial Banking
- Technology: Working experience on multiple application technologies and databases
- Should be capable of understanding concepts of various technologies and able to provide technology guidance to application development teams
- Familiarity on various Architectural Patterns
- Knowledge on Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF
- Stakeholder management: Ability to work with Business and Technology teams to design solutions
Nice to Have:
- Experience in designing SOA, BPM solutions for large organizations
- Certification on TOGAF is a true asset
- French speaking is a bonus
