Description
M2M Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager sought to work the first 3 months in Germany (Dusseldorf), for training and orientation before being based full time in the UK (Newbury).
Ideal candidate will have previous strong technical experience, as well as very good programme/project management skills at an international level. Should be forward thinking and should demonstrate solid communication and leadership skills.
Tasks/Daily Business:
- Programme management: leading large projects & programmes, and taking ownership of the outcomes.
- Reporting to senior management: preparing and delivering presentations and progress reports.
- Escalation management: resolving programme-related conflicts and issues; following the escalation process where required
- Resource management
- Ensuring the projects within a programme meet their targets for timelines, quality and budget.
- Following the security processes for programme governance and reporting
- Maintaining the required programme documentation.
- Controlling change and maintaining the programme integrity.
- Building trusted relationships with all stakeholders.
- Coaching project team members to improve performance.
Required Skills:
- Very good Programme Management/senior Project Manager skills
- Forward-looking/thinking mentality
- ITIL certification (Prince2, PMI are nice-to-have)
- Technical /IT background
- Experienced with coordinating multiple project managers
- Senior leadership of Matrix organised teams
- Good communication skills: ability to adapt to individual communication styles
- Nice-to-Have: telecommunication background/working experience in M2M area
