Next Ventures is urgently looking for a uCMDB specialist for contract work in Katowice.
Start date: ASAP
Location: Katowice
Duration: 6 months
HP uCMDB
Core tasks
Support the HP uCMDB tool used in asset management.
Responsible for change tasks assigned and troubleshooting of issue occurred in uCMDB Tool.
Handle administration tasks in uCMDB
Checking latest CUP and Content Packs and applying in various environments. Perform testing of jobs post deployment
As per issues in uCMDB,creating IPM tickets and routing to respective F-Groups
Creating HP Software Case as per issue in uCMDB
Generating AMOS Server reports and updating in Share drive
Creating users in uCMDB and modelling Studio
2. Detailed description of required skills
Skills & other knowledge
HardSkills
Installation and Administration of HP uCMDB 8/9.x
Handling change tasks assigned for uCMDB tool through Service Manager.
Creating views/TQL in Modelling studio
Custom application discovery and troubleshooting capabilities
Generating Out of the box reports in uCMDB
User management and administration
Scheduling the discovery jobs and troubleshooting.
Defining the IP range for the probes in uCMDB according to the load balancer
Soft Skills
Good understanding of cross platform discovery tools deployment and administration.
Basic knowledge on Jython Scripting language.
Knowledge on ITIL process, Configuration Management System(CMS)
Integration with various tools, for example like HP SM, HP BSM
Analytical and Problem solving skills
Certified in Universal CMDB 9.x
Windows/Linux server administration
Basic Knowledge of SQL and database programming tools
Knowledge of uCMDB 10 (Desirable)
Understanding of Network technologies (DNS, DHCP,TCP/IP)
Knowledge of ticketing tools like HPSM, Remedy etc.
ITIL V3 Foundation (Desirable)
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Act as good team player
