Supply Chain Manager - Facilities Management and Engineering

My client, a market leading business based in Manchester is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to spearhead the FM and Engineering function, introducing best practice to contract management and driving value for money commercial decisions and contract management across all areas of the business.

This will be a 3 month contract position with an immediate start.

Core responsibilities will include:
-Leading the FM/Engineering function which includes; cleaning/waste/pest control, security, lifts, operations and stores. The Category spend is approximately £30-40million with additional bundled projects on an individual level, between £5 - £20million.
-Managing and developing a designated team to deliver year on year savings and implementing continuous improvement programmes across the FM/Engineering category.
-Supporting the CPO to develop and implement the Strategic Supply Chain Plan
-Acting as the contracting lead for the Supply Chain Category Team
-Identify and track savings and benefits following the implementation of category strategies and procurement activity.
-Interfacing between multiple business stakeholders across the business

To be considered for this role you must have the following:
-Previous experience of managing category's in the FM/Engineering space in a generalist type role rather than specialist (working across multiple departments).
-Track record of managing high value contracts and delivering continuous costs savings
-Ability to get involved in in-depth category management across multiple departments.
-Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of a business.
-Interest in being part of a dynamic team in a fast paced and pressurised environment where quick wins are available.
-Knowledge of OJEU legislation and application under UCR
-Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
