Description

The Site Health algorithms more effectively safeguard the quality of our investigator sites. They utilize statistical algorithms to predict outcomes, thereby ensuring that the data and procedures, involving patients, are overseen in a productive data driven manner. This position will develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the Site Health algorithms and other relevant analytics/metrics with a focus on monitoring the predictive power of the existing algorithms and identifying opportunities to enhance the existing algorithms leveraging both existing and new data sources. The job is based in Groton, CT or the North East but could be virtual.

This Senior Role will focus on strategy, securing data supply chain, and developing new algorithms. Primarily looking at clinical data, but will possibly be looking outside of clinical settings. For example, the department is looking at economic trends to predict malaria outbreaks. The Sr. Statistician will identify correlations and make sure these are updated and relevant.

Duties:
  • Partner with business, technology, statistical and other colleagues/SMEs to develop hypothesizes regarding what makes an Investigator Site Healthy
  • Review and analyze hypotheses, questions or problems in order to deliver optimal plans/solutions to meet the needs
  • Will partner with data/system SMEs to develop a robust understanding of available data attributes and limitations
  • Developing, implementing and as needed, writing statistical analysis plans
  • Writing statistical programming language to: Develop cutting edge predictive modelling tools, techniques and analytics to deliver deep insights into Site Health and epidemiology/correlations to relevant outcomes
  • Be responsible for data analytics/data science on massive sets of complex and sometimes, unstructured data
  • Interpret, write-up and present results of conducted analyses
  • Manage projects to ensure they are delivered successfully and in a timely manner
SKILLS:

MS or PhD is statistics - Prefer Ivy League Graduates.
  • Knowledge of R, SAS and SQL
  • Experience with data mining, and big data sets.
  • Experience in a complex Matrix large pharmaceutical environment a plus.
  • Must be able to travel
