Specific Duties and Accountabilities
Familiarity with the following process safety and fire protection activities
is essential;
- HAZID
- HAZOP
- Risk (Hazard) Register
- Safety Integrity Level (SIL) analysis
- Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
- Critical Element Identification Assessment
- Fire & Explosion Assessment
- Explosion Risk Assessment
- Computational Fluid modeling
- Dispersion modeling programs
- Non-Flammable Major Accident Assessment
- Escape, Evacuation, and Rescue Assessment
- Emergency System Survivability & Availability Assessment
- Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
- ALARP Assessment
- Health Risk Assessment
- Safety and Fire Protection Philosophies
- Fire Protection and Safety Data Sheets
- Fire Hazard Analysis (FHA)

*Education/Experience/Competencies Required;
1. BS or MS in Chemical Engineering preferred. However, other applicable
engineering disciplines will be considered on a case by case basis.
Professional licensing or certification is a plus.
2. 8 to 10 years of experience in an offshore environment is preferred
3. Progressive experience in working within, and/or supervising
multi-discipline activities desirable
4. Demonstrated proficiencies with process safety and fire protection
software highly desirable
5. Strong organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively in
English is required
6. Ability to meet project deliverables and deadlines required
7. Ability to manage the preparation of, and present, complex process safety
and /or fire protection reports and studies is required
8. Team player

9. Ability to review and comment on subordinates work products is considered
critical
10. Be capable of determining staffing levels and discipline requirements
based review of project scope/contract/deliverables documentation
