My client a global leader in cloud-based (SaaS) social recognition solutions are looking to take on a UX Strategy Manager. Based in West Dublin my client provides a fun, fast paced environment with a winning culture.
The User Experience (UX) Strategy Manager, reporting into the Development Manager (Customer), is responsible for setting the creative direction of the User Experience for the products and services.
The UX Strategy Manager will define the User Experience approach, provide design leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring that our products and services provide an industry-leading user experience for our clients and their users. They will own the direction of our creative output, in particular around all the touch points that our end users have with our products.
This requires strategic thinking and planning to provide leadership, innovation and expertise throughout the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring the success of the team's efforts from conceptual stages to final delivery into the product.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Set the strategic direction for the User Experience function and direct its execution through our Agile product development process
Plan and propose innovative solutions for the user interactions, visual design and information architecture across our product suite (Web, Email, Mobile Web and Mobile Apps)
Work closely with Product, Creative and Technical teams on the definition and delivery of these solutions
Manage UX and Branding Team Leads including staff performance reviews, salary reviews and career development and planning activities
Work with the Development Manager (Customer) to ensure that UX initiatives are on-track and to provide/seek regular feedback on project progress and status
Identify areas for ongoing improvement in our UX processes and draft plans to address these ensuring resources and time are allocated as necessary.

Required skills and experience:
5+ years experience of managing UX staff
10+ years of related work experience
Deep understanding of UI Product Design and User Experience practices
Strong track record of designing and delivering innovative UX solutions for large, global user populations across different channels
Strong track record of hiring and developing great talent
Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, at all levels (Executive management as well as UX designers)
Ability to influence and build key relationships across the business
Must take initiative, be decisive and show confidence in decisions made
Must be able to take strategic direction from senior management and participate in strategic planning activities.
Strong customer focus and a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the customer.
Ability to provide mentoring and support in UX best practices in an Agile environment
Excellent People Management skills
