If so, you may be a good fit for the Senior Software Engineer position at one of the premier High Frequency Trading firms in Chicago. The firm is hiring three (3) Senior Software Engineers for their Treasuries, FX and Energy Trading Teams. The position has become available due to the firms better-than-expected profits and their desire to add more horsepower to their technology initiatives.Responsibilities for this position include:
- Designing and implementing a high-frequency trading platform, which includes collecting quotes and trades from and disseminating orders to exchanges around the world.
- Optimizing this platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to minimize latency.
- Developing systems that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations.
- Creating tools to analyze data for patterns
- Building risk-management and performance tracking tools
Requirements for this position call for:
- 5+ Years of C++ Development Experience
- 1+ Years of C# Development Experience
- 1+ of scripting experience with languages such as Python or Ruby
- Multithreading experience
- Experience with STL and Boost
- Experience building electronic trading application
- Desire to work with some of the brightest technologist in the businesses
Compensation for this position depends on proven success in past roles. Expected salaries are between $130,000 and $180,00. Applicable Software Engineers looking for a challenge are encouraged to apply.
