6 month Temporary contract
The Johnston Press editorial design hub in Edinburgh has a vacancy for a page designer.
The hub handles newspapers - including the daily Edinburgh Evening News - supplements and magazines across the company's Scottish and Irish titles.
The successful candidate will have worked within a publishing environment and will be able to demonstrate a flair for creative design.
The applicant must have substantial experience in an editorial position on a newspaper or magazine, preferably with NCTJ qualifications, or must have experience in the design element of a publication.
A good working knowledge of InDesign is essential and candidates should be comfortable with the basics of Photoshop. The successful candidate should be forward thinking and demonstrate the ability to generate new design ideas for our publications.
