A Financial Technology firm in downtown Chicago is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join a cutting edge team developing real-time trading systems. The role has come about as the firm is in the process of adding horse-power to their Chicago Development team, and they need someone with strong leadership qualities to act as a Lead Software Engineer and focus on their GUI front-end. This is a full-time role located in Downtown Chicago.The company has locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The firms clientele are the worlds leading hedge funds, trading firms and brokerages. This is a firm that views technology, and the people behind it, as the cornerstone or their business.
Responsibilities would include the development and design of real-time trading applications in addition to providing architectural, technical and process leadership to the rest of the team. This is not a "heads down" role, and you would be responsible for interfacing with multiple business owners and mentoring more junior employees. The Lead Software Engineer would be primarily responsible for the GUI, but would also have some exposure the high performance back-end.
Qualifications for the role include:
- 8+ Years of C# development experience
- 4+ Years of developing GUI's, specifically with WPF
- 3+ Years of working with the MVVM design pattern
- 3+ Years of financial experience, specifically within the trading space
- Quality and Detail oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience
