Marketing Manager Investment Asset Management Project Based

Experience:
- Must be from an Asset Management background. Requires knowledge of investment products and services, and marketing concepts usually acquired through related work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Note: NOT a digital marketing role but more Project Management.

Team environment

- Manager is based in Chicago
- a lot of time will be spent on conference calls/emails. Communication is key to this role
- Working alongside BA's to focus on advising changes within the business
- Reports into a Senior BA

Role

The Interim International Marketing Manager will be responsible for working directly for the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Asset Management to implement the international marketing strategy and collaborate with other Asset Management marketing managers for global alignment. In this role the Interim International Marketing Manager will align all international marketing activities with the strategic goals of the business and support the distribution of investment capabilities across EMEA and APAC. Specifically, this role will oversee two partners in the delivery of thought leadership, sales collateral, promotional activity and online content across the region. The position will also collaborate very closely with other teams across the business: sales, custody marketing, digital marketing, PR and product, both in London and Chicago.

Principal Responsibilities

- Participate in the marketing planning process to develop plans for the regional activity in 2015
- Maintain the international portion of the global asset management marketing calendar and integrate all marketing, PR, Sales and Product activities into the calendar
- Develop, in coordination with the global team, marketing materials specific to investment products and services, targeting
various audiences, identify needs, prioritise and project manage the production of all marketing materials, ensuring that all items meet sales, technical, corporate, branding and compliance requirements.
- Be responsible for the website content as it relates to asset management for the international business. Refresh, maintain and continually develop the pages in conjunction with product managers and the web design teams in Chicago and London.
- Be responsible for 'event planning' as it relates to our asset management activity internationally
- Work with the sales team to source the conferences and speaking opportunities to support our priorities.
- Oversee international marketing budgets to ensure adherence to plans.
- Coordinate metrics for initiatives and report insights and opportunities to improve efforts.
- Work with partners from across the global team to develop social media content
- Oversee the production of a monthly CEO video
- Supervise a team of two other partners - one in London and one in Bangalore

Skills/Experience

- Requires knowledge of investment products and services, and marketing concepts usually acquired through related work experience and formal education to respond to proposals and develop the marketing materials.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and in written form
- Initiative and persuasiveness are important, given strong sales personalities and multiple priorities
- Preferably management experience, ability to collaborate well with partners
