Mainframe Consultant - Z/OS, Linux, UNIX, Micro Focus, CICS - Contract - Netherlands - Circa euro;375 PD.
I currently have an urgent opening for a talented Mainframe Consultant to join my technology client on a contract basis at their offices in the Netherlands.
Mandatory Skills
- should have prior experience of rehosting applications from Mainframes(Z/OS) to Linux/UNIX using Mirco Focus technologies (Micro Focus Enterprise Server). (Should have performed atleast one migration from Z/OS to Linux using Micro Focus tools)
- should be well versed with Micro Focus tools required for automated migration of Mainframe(Z/OS) to open systems (Linux/UNIX).
- should have an experience of delivery and deployment of applications using Micro Focus technologies (Micro Focus Enterprise Server).
- should have knowledge and experience of working with Micro Focus Tools (MF Server express/MF Net express).
- should have knowledge of Cobol/CICS/VSAM on Mainframe Z/OS.
- should have knowledge of working with of MF-Cobol/CICS/VSAM on Linux/UNIX Systems.
Nice To have Skills
- Knowledge of PL-1/Assembler
- Should have knowledge of Easytrieve(reporting tools)/Control-M(or any other scheduler) on Z/OS. Knowledge of schedulers on open systems (Linux/UNIX) is an added advantage.
- Good communication skills (knowledge of Dutch language is an added bonus)
- knowledge of SDLC and migration methodology
