The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a major European system in Brussels as follows:-


This person will be responsible for the architecture and design (and related tests) of systems or subsystems, in projects, evolutions and maintenance. He/she will work mainly on CCN2 with a particular focus on (but not limited to) infrastructure3 and end user features. This position implies working directly with several stakeholders such as subcontractors, other organisation teams, MS or other DGs. Changes to the assigned projects will be communicated to the contractor during the execution of the Specific Contract


Large scale SOA and MDM secure interoperability framework, with focus on deployment (eg backup, technical monitoring, configuration, high availability) end users features (eg reference applications, business activity monitoring) possibly other projects or sub-projects


- Mastering, proposing architecture, design, (test) specifications and/or Reviewing of proposals of architecture, design, (test) specifications.

- Technical support, advice and consulting to operations, evolutions and projects (eg analysing or validating analysis of problems or requests for change)

- Document production review, with a focus on deployment-related (eg backup & restore, monitoring, SLA reporting, configuration management, high availability management) or end-users-related (eg reference applications, security/technical/organisation interfaces between applications) artefacts

- Supervision of subcontractor, coordination with other organisation teams or MS (eg for the national deployments aspects or reference applications made available to MS); this may require preparation and run of slide shows, or organising and chairing some meetings (eg workshop with MS, with  end users and/or with test & operations team)

- Study (or manage the study of) adequacy and impact of new technology or new version of COTS/OSS to systems or their interfaces with other systems

- Assess the impact (or manage the assessment) of new Data Centres or existing systems (eg monitoring system, backup system) to proposed solution
