Principal Responsibilities
  • Perform variance and trend analysis on sales, margin and profitability. Includes continued development of system tools to assist in analytics.
  • Participate in company projects revolving around process and policy improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support the month end close and reporting process.
  • Prepare bi-weekly scorecard information on key business measurements related to sales, margin and profitability.
  • Assist Finance Manager with monthly forecast and annual budget process.
  • Provide modelling and forecasting to support company pricing decisions, specific to periodic company announced price changes.
  • Oversight of freight costs, including trends. Provide analysis and modelling relative to proposed freight policy modifications.
  • Prepare daily Billing & Backlog report for management, providing information relative to daily and month-to-date sales order, shipments and backlog status by business segment.
  • Coordinate and compile the management reporting each month (Business Scorecard, Sales Summary, Sales Segment Review, Sales/Volume by Area/Region/Territory)
  • Manage the administration of the rebate program including the creation of rebate models to estimate financial impact, monitoring accrual balances and coordinating year end sales forecasts by account toward finalizing rebate goal achievement.
  • Provide support to the sales compensation program with monthly participation in data validation and audit routines.
  • Provide support for and prepare necessary analysis around business acquisition and integration activity.
  • Wear necessary safety equipment and follow company established Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good attendance record and report to assigned job station in a timely manner.
  • Follow all appropriate Environmental Protection, Safety, Health and Quality (ESHQ) policies.
  • Wear prescribed Personal Protective equipment and ensures that prescribed safeguards are properly used.
  • Notifies his/her supervisor before undertaking a work activity in which he/she is not adequately trained.
  • Immediately reports unsafe acts or conditions to his/her supervisor and takes immediate interim steps to protect himself/herself and others from serious risk.
  • Understands that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of our Vision and Guiding Principles. Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate managers or directors. Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.
  • Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and other ISO regulations, procedures and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.
SKILLS:

Knowledge and Experience
  • Five to seven years experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • M&A experience, SAP, and project management experience are a plus
  • Competency in researching issues and arriving at logical well documented analysis
  • Effective verbal communicator
  • Ability to present information effectively and professionally
  • Competency in technical accounting concepts
  • Detail oriented with high math accuracy competence
  • Strong PC skills including Access, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • Masters degree in business or finance a plus
  • Must have excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Must have experience with Accounting and Monthly reports,
