Job Description & Responsibilities:
- The Consultant will be primarily concerned with writing the user and systems requirements for the networks, the Operational Software (decision support tools) and IT Hardware to enable a C4I system. He/she will design a new network solution including trunk, fibre, PSTN, Satcom and radio; and integrate it into Legacy networks and external agencies to maintain support to current operations. This will include interfaces/gateways and solutions for multiple security domains running on a core network.
- The consultant shall lead on the development, tailoring and configuration of the C4I system to ensure it meets the operational user requirements.
- The Consultant shall provide strategic guidance to the Client with regard to networks and the enablement of major upgrades or new technologies through enhancements to existing communications infrastructure. Consultant shall also provide guidance during selection and procurement as well providing highly expert technical assistance during implementation, testing, acceptance and final delivery of the C4I Program.
- Supports the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of the C4I System.
- Suitable Qualifications required for Weapon Computer/Data/IT System, related data collection, report writing, and presentation, and meeting with relevant authorities and industry.
- Supports the development of the DODAF/MODAF architecture that captures the technical and operational framework of the system.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Suitable Qualification require for Operations Software and Hardware development, related data collection and report writing and presentation, meeting with related authorities
- Liaising with staff at all levels of the Military/Government organization
- Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports to Senior Management
- RFP writing support for Operations Software and Hardware.
- Ensuring the assistance needed to implement the recommendations/solutions;
- Identify key challenges, critical uncertainties and gaps
