A Senior Software Engineer with experience in Mechatronics is needed for a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term basis (6 month contract initially), based in the Netherlands. My client develops, supplies and services leading-edge assembly and test equipment. The integrated assembly lines and other high speed equipment play an important role in the roadmap towards cost leadership in assembly. The successful candidate will be working with the best engineering team in the R&D centre.Job Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer must have a good knowledge of software development in the field in between mechanics, motion control and vision systems.
He/ she will be part of a project team responsible for the development of new equipment, which is characterised by fine mechanics, fast and accurate movements.
The Senior Software Engineer specifies the requirements for software control.
He/ she will translate customer requirements into functional requirements.
Following a structured design flow, design the software, including test routines, self-diagnosis tooling, and graphical user interface.
In the validation and verification phase he/she will be responsible for the final release of the new software version.
He/ she will be well aware of the latest developments in the field of software competence and design methods, continually seeking opportunities to apply these in day-to-day work.
Job Requirements
Minimum Masters Degree in (Technical) Computer Science
>5 years of experience in Embedded software engineering
Strong background in Mechatronics and Vision systems
Hands on experience with fine mechanical equipment
Team player with good communication skills
Analytical thinking skills
Good writing and reporting skills
