ELECTRONICS ENGINEER - CONTRACT - GUILDFORD
A fantastic contract opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team, to support new product development with respect to the design and development of electronic functionality and support testing and product validation and verification.
Required key skills (functional/technical):
-Technical competency.
-Soldering skills.
-Standard lab technology use (eg. Osciloscope)
-Desirable low-lever Microcontroller programming skills.
-Design using Altium or similar CAD system
Responsible for:
oDesign and development of Digital and Analogue electronic functionality from concept through to manufacture as defined by the Project team.
oBluetooth or similar communication systems development.
oLow power battery technology and power saving circuit development.
oConcept Schematic capture & PCB Layout.
oDesign and routing of multilayer and double sided PCB layout (Rigid and Flex circuit).
oAssist the development team in a functional breakdown of the devices under development
oCollaboration in the risk analysis of the concept design and the mitigations.
oContribute to and conduct design reviews, including 3rd party designs.
oDevelopment report writing for the project Design History File.
oDevelop test specifications, limits and protocols for production.
oIssue tracking and resolution base on change control procedure.
oDesign for Manufacture (DFM), specifying Electronic Functional Test, tolerances, etc.
o2nd sourcing and alternative component technical approvals testing and identification.
