Description

Support Customer's machine design groups in achieving legal requirements for exterior noise and commercial targets for operator sound level and sound quality. Plan, coordinate and conduct machine sound validation and development at sites. Prepare machines for test, setup sound test equipment/instruments and perform data acquisitions and signal processing. Analyzing & summarizing test results, generating conclusions & recommendations and interacting with machine design teams to improve performance of the machines being developed. Trouble-shooting unexplained factory and customer noise concerns. Work with mechanics, technicians and engineers in completing their assigned responsibilities and in supporting team members in their responsibilities.

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering or Physics with coursework or experience in machine, system or component noise control.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems and laboratory or machine testing.
  • Interest and ability in experimental noise control and be familiar with analytical methods and have advanced ability in signal processing techniques and systems
  • Ability to perform in a team environment and have proven customer focus, interpersonal skills, planning and organizing skills, high initiative and work standards.
  • Experience and knowledge in general noise control principles, including instrumentation, noise control devices, testing and analysis and acoustic materials.
