As the Contract Manager within a high profile Australian Federal Government agency be responsible for:-

  • Managing new and existing subcontracts with service providers
  • Mitigate and control risks
  • Provide advice on managing new and existing contracts
  • Provide advise on controlling identified risks and issues
  • Work with stakeholders
  • Develop, negotiate value for money
  • Review supplier billing
  • Document and records management

12 month initial engagement with extension options available.

Selection criteria is required within a timeframe.

NV1 clearance or ability to secure and upgrade to NV2. Ergo, Australian citizenship is a minimum pre-requisite.

Skills:-

  • analyse commercial conditions in contracts
  • plan, manage and review service contracts for IT systems
  • assess opportunities to migrate contracts
  • identify risks and issues
  • work with procurement framework as dictated by federal government
  • be able to write and speak legibly and effectively

Formal qualifications will be found very attractive by this government agency.

As this role is long term, we will be seeking a competitive rate for this position.

Additionally note, these contracts roles are with multiple agencies. Please take care not to double up, we will work with you on this.

This agency is located in the parliamentry triangle, parking is at a premium. Additionally, a competency in being able to work with extensive amounts of forms, documents, version control, patience and diplomacy will see you keep your cool during the onboarding process.
