We are working with a Government organisation to source a Solution Architect for a contract until 30 June 2015.

DUTIES:
- Produce IT architecture designs that adhere to agreed Architecture Principles, provide value for money and comply with security and regulatory guidelines.
- Advise business proposal sponsors of the ICT implications of their initiatives, including the costs of meeting ICT architectural standards and the risk profile for business proposals.
- Provide relevant ICT technical and security advice to infrastructure and application developers to ensure IT standards and target architecture are maintained.
- Design IT solutions that provide appropriate levels of resiliency, availability, reliability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and IT groups to effectively service their IT needs
SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience developing solution architectures across a range of architecture domains with a particular focus on technology and security architecture.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government security standards and their application to in-sourced environments and 'as-a-service' or cloud based environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing technical requirements.
- Proven ability to evaluate solution options, conduct trade-off analysis and document agreed architectures.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture practices and modelling tools, in particular Sparx EA.
- Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills - must have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, and produce high quality detailed and precise documentation.
Due to the nature of this organisation, you must be an Australian Citizen with a current and active baseline security clearance.
