Vertical Partnership Manager

Brook Street are currently working on behalf of our Global IT client to recruit a Veritcal Partnership Manager. This is a contract role running until the end of June 2015 based in London.

Role Purpose
This brand new role requires an experienced media or marketing professional who will be able to develop commercial partnerships between the company and their key clients within a specific vertical. These partnerships will be executed at CXO level in combination with the client's creative and media agencies across client director and communication planning departments.

The role is accountable and measured against annual fixed revenue commitment targets. We expect business to be secured from both keen strategic accounts within the vertical as well as from the middle and long tail of the category.

A big thinker, natural self-starter with outstanding communication skills, the role demands pro-active selling in market and tenacious identification of significant revenue opportunities: thinking outside the box, creatively, to create world class marketing solutions to solve client's marketing problems leveraging the full company armoury as well as external partners.

As well as being a key revenue generator, the right candidate will be a natural influencer in advising the industry on digital advertising and marketing best practise. As such a genuine passion for both the vertical and the digital advertising business is essential.

You will be expected to build outstanding working relationships with key internal stakeholders across our sales teams and product platforms, as well as across the wider company organisation to leverage software and service solutions at the highest level. Capability of engaging at the highest levels is essential.

To become the trusted adviser to the CMO/CXO, beyond just digital, and help influence the client's strategy and execution.

Key Accountabilities

CRITICAL:
* Responsible for delivering revenue-generating partnerships that go beyond digital
* Own the development, strategy and planning that will maximize revenue from said vertical category
* Work on content-led commercial projects/products as required. Work across the company closely with various platform design teams, both internally & externally
* Participate and drive monthly, quarterly meetings and analysis in line with the company's Agency and Client Engagement Plan (ACEP)
* Report, and give insight, into UK leadership team on imperative client and industry intelligence

STRETCH:
* Continue to grow the profile of the company's Advertising Team with leading industry associations and within the industry vertical
* Help deliver the Solutions revenue target by broadening client marketing strategies beyond standard display and to leverage the full company organisation
* Work closely with Commercial Marketing team to build vertical sales collateral, delivering incremental revenue into the business
* A visible speaker on the conference circuit and published within vertical trade press and by blogs

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

CRITICAL:
* Good, extensive contacts at media clients, design and creative agencies
* Thorough knowledge of the advertising industry and digital's role within the media mix
* Existing CMO and board level relationships within the vertical in combination with a working knowledge of the leaders of the London Creative media agency community
* A tenacious, and creative, problem solver with ability to work across a variety of platforms and teams at all levels, operating in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage a variety of clients and projects
* Ability to adapt and to prioritise work around tight deadlines
* High level of presentation skills, written and oral
* Ability to conduct and run high level negotiations, and close large business projects (with demonstrable experience of this)
* Expert in industry vertical
* Known personally by key client CMO/CXOs
* Self-motivated and a leader

STRETCH
* Ideally experienced in running contractual agreements
* Proven and demonstrable experience of working in a large Matrix organisation
* Strategic problem solver (MBA preferable)
* Writes columns/blogs/speaks at conferences (preferable)

As a Brook Street contractor you will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum, 8 days paid Bank Holidays, discounted gym membership, use of the onsite health facility, access to online learning and training, free parking and an excellent subsidised restaurant. In addition, subject to qualification criteria, you will have the potential opportunity to earn bonus.

Salary: Up to £92,000 per annum + a revenue target based bonus
