C# / Winforms-WCF / Contract / London / £550-£650pdMy client a top tier investment bank is looking for a C# Developer with Winforms and WCF experience to join their expanding team based in Central London.
Main duties are to build a front end platform using the technology stack consisting primarily of C#, WinForms and SQL Server 2008 R2. The candidate will be expected to liaise with trading, sales, back office/ market operations users and technicians in other development teams. Strong C# development skills with emphasis on WCF server-side programming
My client is looking for the following skills and knowledge:
Extensive experience using the C# programming language
Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design
Extensive .NET development experience familiarity with the latest IDEs (Visual Studio 2010+) and core concepts (e.g. Linq, new .NET Framework 4.0 features, etc.)
Previous WinForms GUI development experience
Previous experience programming services using WCF
Extensive experience working with XML data structures, parsing and processing XML using the .NET Framework
Knowledge of SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 T-SQL expertise(additionally a solid base understanding of query performance analysis and tuning)
Previous experience in Banking and Finance in a front-office orientated role. The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding users. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to the business area and products as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
