A rapidly expanding IVD Medical Device company is currently seeking an Operations Officer to join their growing team in London. This is a permanent position and is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company that is continually expanding their manufacturing operations. The company operates within the UK, US and Sweden with massive growth plans.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Operations team in monitoring and reviewing the UK operations. In particular this individual will be key member of the operations team supporting data management, problem resolution and contractors / suppliers monitoring. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.

Essential functions on a strategic level:

* Support the Operations team in reviewing and optimising operations by:

o Collecting, analysing, and summarising internal key performance indicators and reporting them in periodic performance reports.
o Analysing and reviewing critical processes and functionalities within the Operations department including manufacturing, procurement and supply chain.
o Helping to enforce organisation standards

* Select, review and monitor contractors, suppliers and other service providers including their compliance to the company standards

Essential functions on a functional level:

* Provide operations support for internal functionalities and processes (including new proposals) by describing requirements using a variety of appropriate project management software in a work-flowchart and diagram; studying system capabilities; interviewing process owners and stakeholders, analysing alternative solutions; preparing processes specifications and requirements.

* Contribute to the development of re-engineering methods/procedures to improve processes, increase controls and/or increase business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

* Help performing risk assessment evaluations, which involve analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business;

* Gather and interpret relevant data on supply chain (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)

* Monitor contract compliance and evaluation of contractors, suppliers and other service providers

* Monitor and provide analytical support in procurement and supply-chain management

* Coordinate delivery schedules and other supply chain activities

* Document drafting and control within Operations department

Qualifications and Experience:

* >2 years' experience of operations in a medium-large size company

* Experience working with Healthcare and/or Bio-medical sectors

* Basic knowledge of project management with the ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines

* Strong proficiency with MS Office especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project and Visio

* A self-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required

* Good team player and ability to interact well on a one to one level

* Excellent oral and written skills

* Basic negotiation skills

This position is based in London although travel to other territories may be required as needed.
