My client, a large public sector organisation, is currently looking for a Resource Development Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes. The candidate will join the Technology resourcing team, with the primary responsibility of developing all staff within the technical group.

The candidate will work closely with the head of resourcing to highlight skills gaps which may hinder the organisation's ability to meet demand. The individual will have full line management responsibility which will include performance management, succession planning and development of appropriate business skills.

Essential skills:

  • Excellent planning skills
  • Understanding of capacity planning and skills gap analysis
  • Recruitment and resource selection experience
  • Problem solving and judgement
  • Understanding of resource allocation
  • In depth general management and budgetary management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of performance management process
  • Ability to apply performance management procedures sensitively and to make difficult but consistent decisions
  • Able to gain trust of individuals in group and senior managers
  • Strong people and interpersonal skills

The role is being offered on an initial 6 month contract paying up to £340/day.
