Description
As the Virtualisation Specialist, you will be required to understand and virtualise an existing Australian Federal Government environment based in the Inner South.
Technical Environment:-
- Servers running Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Networks including VPNs, Firewalls, Routers
- VMware infrastructure
- Develop interfaces to auto-provision new environments
- Needs to connect to VMware APIs
Selection criteria due by 31st July 14.
- Technical Security Awareness, provision and configure VPN, generate server and client certificates for authentication, develop interfaces using HTTPS, ensure that Virtual Environments have separation/isolation
- Able to manage Linux and Windows Desktop and Server Operating systems
- Network Technology: Routers, Firewalls, VLANs, VPNs
- Operating Systems: Linux Servers, Windows Desktop and Servers, User Management (Active Directory)
- Security: HTTPs, SSH, Remote Desktop, Server, Client certificates
Other skills:-
- Developing interfaces that use VMware AP; Auto provisioning of Virtual Machines and Virtual Networks, Python and Django on Linux
