My client is a leading insurer. They are looking for a contract Operations Finance Manager responsible for ensuring that the finance function operates efficiently and effectively within the underwriting division of their European operations.

Your role will communicate deliverables, monitor and report on KPI's within the underwriting operations team. You will deliver continuous improvements within the credit control function using a structured continuous improvement framework (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.). You will build and maintain strong effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders providing a high level of support to underwriting team, employees and other stakeholders. You will prepare and present the finance budget within the underwriting department and ensure that the there is no unplanned overspend of the budget.

The successful candidate will have a strong operations focused finance background working at management level with experience working within the insurance sector. You must demonstrate appropriate experience of legal and regulatory requirements (with specific reference to PRA, FCA and Lloyds regulation) with a good working knowledge of process management practices (capacity planning, resource management, etc). The candidate will have a proven ability to engage, lead, motivate and develop a team with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong accounting skills is a must.
