Mechanical Engineer - Hatfield - HND, Environment Agency Processes and Systems, Water Industry, User Requirement Specifications, FAT & SAT
Job type: 6 Month Initial Contract
Location: Hatfield - not required on site everyday
Rate/Salary: £250 - £300 per day
Outsource UK Ltd is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a Leading client on a contract basis.
To apply for this opportunity you will have:
Qualified to HND or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Approx. 5 years experience in the Water industry, or equivalent utilities or industry, overseeing the technical aspects of small overhaul or refurbishment projects up to at least £80K.
Preparations of User Requirements specifications, technical specifications, checking drawings and designs, carrying out FAT & SAT & commissioning and management of contactors including preparation of H&S paperwork and checking risk assessments and method statements
Water industry knowledge would be advantageous
You will need to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, which can be done at interview stage.

This role is based in Hatfield which is commutable from Stevenage, Hoddesdon, St. Alban and Hempstead
The Job:
Working as a Mechanical Engineer the jobholder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including:
Responsible for initial provision and though life support of mechanical systems
Replacement of the mechanical aspects of an automated penstock, including interfacing with existing control system and proving fit for purpose
Co-ordinate review and refurb of several small hydraulic systems
Assist with asset condition assessments and maintenance specifications
