MES Project Manager to provide specific capability and expertise relating to the selection and delivery of a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Project Manage the Initiation Phase of the UK MES
Project including key Work Packages:
Selection of MES system (Tool).
Selection of MES implementation Service Provider.
Baseline project plan for the delivery Execution Phase.
Typical activities will include:
Deliver the MES Project Initiation Phase.
Manage the 'Tool' and 'Service Provider' selection via RFP process.
Assemble the total project cost for Steering Committee approval.
Produce baseline plan for the Execution Phase.
Provide focal point in the UK Information Systems (IS) organisation for the MES project, reporting to the Head of IS UK and engaging with:
Manufacturing 'customer'.
MES Tool and Service Providers.
Procurement & Finance.
Domains within Information Management (IM) (Back Office, Front Office, Networks and IS).
Four incumbent IM Service Providers.
MES Stakeholders via Steering Committee.
Manage the MES Project:
Report project progress weekly and monthly management packs.
Project plan, risk, issue and opportunities logs, PMP.
Follow IM process and procedures.
Recommend any improvements or changes to the project or approach that may improve the quality of the MES solution, reduce the delivery schedule or reduce cost.
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Good knowledge of MES solutions in the market including, but not limited to, SAP ME and Apriso Flexnet - Essential.
Experience of implementing MES solutions SAP ME and Apriso Flexnet - Essential.
An excellent Project Manager with experience of MES projects - Desirable.
Excellent communication skills to people of varying levels organisationally- Essential.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
