SENIOR MACRO-ECONOMIST - PRIVATE BANK - GENEVAThe EMPLOYER
Our client is a solid financial institution existing for more than a century on the Swiss and international markets. In order to reinforce their Investment platform, they are looking for a SENIOR MACRO-ECONOMIST, specialized on the Asian and emerging markets.
The purpose of the role is to deliver strategies and scenarios in order to support the Investment decisions.
The ROLE
You will be reporting to the Chief Investment Officer and you will be working within a very senior team. The main responsibilities will be:
- Collaboration with Asset Allocation and Research department
- Develop scenarios and recommendations to present to Internal and External clients
- Presentations in front of the Investment Committee
- Ad hoc support to the front office
The REQUESTED PROFILE
- Master Degree in Finance/economics or similar
- Min. 7-10 years experience as an economist/strategist or market specialist
- Solid knowledge of the Asian and emerging financial markets
- IT literate, familiar with Matlab, VBA, etc.
- Fluent in English and in French (+any Asian language is a plus)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to defend your work and research results
- Outstanding analytical skills, ability to build up scenarios and to demonstrate their validity (scientific approach)
