Description
The Senior Cost Estimator will assist PMs with expansion capital, maintenance capital, and maintenance cost estimate preparation. Estimation of facilities include but are not limited to installation of pipelines, installation of pumping stations, installation of new interconnects, installation of storage tank facilities, and maintenance projects related to existing facilities of all the aforementioned types of facilities.
- Prepare screening level estimates based on office research, and perform bottom up budgetary estimates based on field data and scoping.
- Deliver completed cost estimates to customers within agreed upon timeframes.
- Utilize engineering estimate accuracy guidelines to support project development activities; enforce guidelines when necessary or ask for assistance to do so from the Project Controls Manager.
- Evaluate completed projects as benchmarks for future estimates. Work to narrow the differences between budget estimates and actual costs over time.
- Assist in maintenance of a materials basis of costs and a labor basis of costs, for estimate consistency.
