For this exciting opportunity, our client, a leading IT solutions company based in the Essex, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer seeking a challenge to join their team.As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and managing solutions created within the given framework as well as continuing to develop the framework itself. Not only this, you will be a central figure in the development of handheld desktop and server applications within the framework too.
This role will require you to work use your extensive leadership skills to work with junior staff members who will look to you for assistance on projects and tasks you will manage and you are expected to possess an up-to-date understanding of new technologies in the IT Industry in order to recognise any new tools that will be of use to our client.
Due to the senior nature of this role, you will be expected to work overtime to meet any deadlines and you must be prepared to make extended visits to customer sites as well as occasional trips to the Dublin offices.
Successful candidates must live within an hour's travel of our client's Chelmsford offices and must have an expert understanding of both C# and SQL as well as a deep understanding of Winforms and XML/XSL.
Candidates who are familiar with Sybase, Subversion, Object Relational Mappers are preferable also. Understandings of Reflection, .Net Compact Framework and prior Lead Developer experience where you have used your excellent problem solving skills are also advantageous.
