Position: SQA Quality EngineerLocation: Doncaster
Salary: Circa £40,000-£45,000
I'm currently working with one of the UK's market leading Commercial lighting companies. A Global manufacturer of electrical components my clients manufacture a comprehensive range of mains and emergency lighting solutions for commercial Industrial applications.
You will be required to:
- Monitor suppliers to ensure robust problem solving activity takes place for supplier concerns
- Identify, implement and monitor supplier performance measures and drive subsequent improvement activities which will include VAVE of their product and/or service
- Facilitate and lead 8D improvement process using a variety of Quality and Continuous Process improvement tools, including but not limited to Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SPC, engineering studies, DOE, Gauge R&R, FMEA, etc.
- Continuously improve customer satisfaction by ensuring open communication and resolution of issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and certification, including co-ordination and facilitation of regulatory, customer and supplier inspections and audits taking responsibility for any relative non conformances and corrective actions.
- Liaise with key customers and external representatives
- Liaise with other managers and staff, particularly on areas such as design, production and purchasing.
- Working closely with purchasing staff to establish supplier quality performance criteria and monitor supplier performance
