I currently have a number of contract roles available in the North West of England.Please see below for a description of the roles:
An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is proficient in 3D CAD modelling and detailing using Solidworks or Pro-Engineer to produce designs and manufacturing drawings for specialist machinery.
Requirements:
An appropriate Mechanical Engineering qualification.
A recognised engineering apprenticeship or other structured training.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and detailing, (Solidworks ideally - or willing to learn) to enable successful candidate to produce designs, manufacturing drawings and other related documentation from design specifications.
Ability to perform design calculations
Relevant experience in the design of machinery and/or equipment,
Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work as part of a team on a wide variety of projects, working to tight project deadlines whilst delivering right first time design solutions.
Self-motivation and the ability to organise, schedule and report on work activities allocated.
Any experience of design and development of stainless steel constructions, sheet metal or rotating equipment is preferred.
Length - 6 months minimum, more likely 12-18 months
