Description
Looking for an Oracle Apps DBA to join Version 1's Managed Services practice in Edinburgh to provide 2nd & 3rd line DBA and technical support to our clients within our SLA. Additional work will include new implementations, version upgrades, health-checks and enhancement of existing systems.
Key Skills/Qualifications
- Extensive Oracle Database Administration experience.
- Extensive to Oracle DBA experience on Solaris, AIX, Linux and various flavours of Microsoft Windows Operating systems
- Experience of Oracle Applications 11i and Release 12 implementations and upgrades
- Maintenance and administration on EBS 11i and R12 systems
- Experience with Day to day Oracle Apps DBA tools such as adadmin, adpatch, adctrl and Oracle Applications Manager.
- Extensive Knowledge of Oracle's Fusion Middleware technology, both as standalone installations, multi-node deployments and their integration with Oracle E-business Suite environments.
- Including:
- Oracle WebLogic Server 11g.
- Oracle Discoverer 11g.
- Oracle Forms and Reports 11g.
- Oracle SOA Suite 11g.
- Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g.
- Planning skills and follow through execution.
Major duties and Responsibilities:
- Oracle Database Administration and Support.
- Customer facing and liaising skills
- Ability to work on both general DBA & E-business duties
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years general DBA experience.
- 5 years E-business DBA with both of (11i, R12) experience.
- Minimum of 5 year Detailed knowledge of RMAN, RAC and Dataguard.
- Experience of working effectively within a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
