Once a Month Meals is an organization committed to getting you around the table with the people you love. We do that by providing a set of tools for planning, cooking, and freezing home-prepared meals.
Once A Month Meals started as the blog Once A Month Mom in February of 2009 with its inaugural month of offering a single freezer cooking menu, monthly. In 2011, menu selections were increased to offer up to six menu types monthly. In September of 2012 we transitioned to a paid subscription mode. Funding via membership was poured into a custom-built user management database and patent-pending menu building software allowing us to deliver a higher quality and more functional solution to our readers. This was released in the Fall of 2013. Once A Month Meals is committed to steady growth, self-funding, and evolving our product in an effort to better serve our customers.
Job Description:
Once a Month Meals is looking for a full-time, contract-to-hire, frontend web developer to help us continue to build and evolve our WordPress site and software-as-a-service web application. We need someone who can work independently, but desires to collaborate with a team. We envision that this position will continue to work with our design and development partner to evolve the platform. This is the first in-house development position in a growing, fun, and challenging product company. We are a remote team and are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience building beautiful experiences on the web. This is an opportunity to see your work realized rapidly. Once a Month Meals will provide:
- a Mac
- an external hard drive
- an external display
- maintaining a high-traffic WordPress site
- keeping the WordPress core and plugins updated on staging and production environments
- watching and improving performance (speed and analytics) of site
- A/B testing of UX and UI concerns with the goal of continual improvement
- cross-browser and cross-device development and testing
- collaborationwith our development partners to implement new features across our platform
- assistance in setting technical direction for the OAMM products
