An excellent opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Business Consultant to work on a permanent basis for a leading client located Milan, Italy.The successful candidate will have a key role in the team of a new 'Application Management Service' to its clients. This service has responsibility for the smooth daily IT operational running of our clients onsite platform. This application is business critical and centrally manages data for trading, settlement, risk, client and regulatory reporting systems.
The role has functional responsibility for IT operational support, maintenance and problem solving and trouble shooting. Understanding of security reference data is vital and its importance to the trade, settlement and reporting lifecycle. A hands on knowledge of data vendor content from providers such as SIX Financial, Bloomberg, IDC Klers and Italian domestic sources such as Borse Italian and Bank if Italy are also vital.
Required skills:
" Fluent Italian/English language
" Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - ability to communicate/work with people at all levels/backgrounds
" Work effectively within a team or in isolation
" Strong Functional experience with at least 4 years' experience working in a financial institution with detailed knowledge of data vendors such as SIX Financial and Bloomberg
" Understanding of Data Management concepts and different data types and asset classes
" Ability to analyse and manipulate data sets using tools such as Excel
" Basic SQL knowledge to run queries and understanding of data model principles
Advantageous:
" Project management experience
" Technical skills around Oracle, workflow systems or UNIX
" Exposure/experience with Data Management software or implementations.
" Good presentation and training skills
" Leadership qualities
" Implementation of large software experience
" Good understanding of project lifecycles
