Job Role: Outage Planner

Location: Yorkshire

Type: 6+ month Contract

Daily rate: £30-33 per hour

Outage Planner - 6+ month Contract - North Yorkshire

Due to the rapid expansion of the Client's Power business they now have a requirement for an Outage Planner to support on the customer site, helping shape further growth for the Power Business Unit. You will provide professional advice and support the Outage Project Manager on project.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce outage programmes.
  • Ensure that contractor programmes are integrated into the overall programme.

  • Co-ordinate and manage all service requirements.

  • Monitor and check progress of all areas and update the programme as needed.

  • Produce reports on progress.

  • Optimise the programme(s) to minimise overall outage duration.

  • Review resource requirements for internal staff.

Qualifications:

  • HND/Degree level education in a Business/Finance/Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Earned Value Foundation (APMG).
  • APM Introductory Certificate.
  • Ideally APMP or working towards APMP.

Knowledge/Skills/Behaviours:

  • Ideally have more than 3 years' experience of creating large and/or complex schedules for start-up programmes/projects.
  • Identifying and maintaining complex dependencies within programme/project schedules.
  • Integration of master schedule to programme/project schedules.
  • Rollup of cross-project resources to consolidated resource plans.
  • Troubleshooting of problems resulting from schedule content or planning tool limitations.
  • Ideally have demonstrable experience of using Earned Value Management Systems.
  • Advanced Primavera (P6) skills and/or have demonstrable skills in the use of other planning tools such as MS Project.
  • Presentation, facilitation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Motivated, well organised and methodical.
  • Stakeholder management experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
