Manufacturing & Equipment Engineer long term contract opportunity for a renowned, world leader within semiconductors. Based in The Netherlands the Manufacturing and Equipment Engineer will face a very challenging position in improving the production process to ensure product quality, short lead-times and ‘short time to market’ for Production.

Overview
The role will design, maintain, and optimise production processes and adapt to changed output requirements by developing and applying methods of measuring the performance of the production process.

Job Description:
* Manufacturing Engineer: from mechanical build and qualification in the Assembly work centre until setup and qualification in TEST and Install.
* New Product Introduction: Lays down operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators. Brings their knowledge to bear on (new) product development projects, in order to foresee production problems in the design phase and in order to improve the manufacturability of the product and test design.
* Continuous Improvement: Analyses the production process, points out structural problems and bottlenecks, works out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded departments as Development, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer Support.
* Support: Contributes to the rapid solution of complex faults and takes the necessary initiatives and practical decisions.
* Troubleshoot

Required Education/Qualifications:
* BSc or MSc Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related technical area.

Experience:
* Graduates are welcome to apply but our preference goes out to experience candidates in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes, preferably in both assembly and test environment.
* Experience in the field of Technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is an advantage.
