Position: Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Electrical EngineeringLocation: Edinburgh / Glasgow / Basingstoke / Chelmsford or Bristol
Salary: up to £50,000 dependent on experience
I'm currently working with one of the UK's leading Engineering Regulatory Bodies who are looking to recruit Controls & Instrumentation Engineers on a permanent basis for their offices above. Working with some of the leading names in the Energy Production (Oil, Gas & Emerging Technologies); Chemical / Pharmaceutical Production & Storage; Mines, Explosives & Pipelines, the C&I Engineer roles will be to address major accident hazards in relation to Electrical Engineering / C&I Engineering in onshore major hazard installations, which include Oil Refineries, Oil & Gas Storage, Chemicals Production and some nuclear sites.
You will be required to:
- Assess safety reports and conduct accident investigations and inspections of major hazard installations
- Support enforcement action, including preparing technical reports and expert evident for legal proceedings
- Develop national benchmarks & guidance
- Contribute to the development of technical and operational strategy
Skills required:
- A proven track record in process control, safety instrumented systems & equipment in flammable atmospheres in the chemical or related process industries.
- A relevant degree
- Membership of a relevant Institution (IET etc)
